Legalia featured in Trends Tendances

Behind the scenes

It is Wednesday afternoon, close to 4pm, when Harold receives a phone call. It turns out to be Gilles Quoistiaux on the line, a reporter from Trends Tendances, who would like to ask some questions regarding Legalia’s specialization, legal interim management, as he had noticed a bit of a buzz around the matter lately.
Since it is quite rare to read about legal interim in the press, it is with great pleasure that Harold takes the opportunity to share his insights on the sector, to explain what daily activities are involved and to illustrate why the specialized knowledge of both the recruitment firm and the legal consultant is so very important.

Indeed, since a number of years, Legalia has earned its market share in the legal recruitment business. Being one of the main players on the Belgian market, we too, have seen our number of consultants double in 2017. Without a doubt, this is thanks to our ability to provide the right expert for the job within a very short delay, as will be highlighted in the article.

Legal interim management as booming business

Two weeks later, on September 7, 2017, the article is published in the online and offline edition of Trends Tendances.
With the growing need for legal advice, in a regulated business environment, the demand for legal manpower is on the rise. In many cases though, it turns out not to be cost effective for companies to hire a full-time employee, especially if the legal counsel’s assistance is simply required for a temporary replacement or additional short- to midterm project.

As mentioned above, the current trend for growth which Legalia is experiencing, is confirmed by the expanding market. With further opportunities still existing, the recruitment niche of legal interim management will not yet cease to increase. Besides the accustomed companies in the banking, energy and industrial sectors, many SMEs, notaries and traditional law firms are now also seeing the advantages of legal consultants and are converting to this type of collaboration.
